During attending Farlingaye High School I had a part time job at a Salon, gaining work experience, customer service and realising the beauty industry is where I wanted to work. From a young age I have wanted to be a beauty therapist and I'm so happy to be following my dreams.
After High School I went straight onto completing my NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy at Suffolk New College. I am currently studying my second year of Beauty Therapy learning a range of advanced body treatments, including several different types of massage, tanning, and electrical facials.
I am lucky enough to be working at a very friendly and passionate salon, in which I feel supported along my journey through beauty therapy and I find myself jumping on leaps and bounds within the industry. I love Beauty Therapy because I love the feeling of making others happy and doing everything I can to make every treatment enjoyable and perfect.
No day is ever the same, but it is always full of laughter, friendliness and happiness. My favourite Dermalogica product to use is Daily Microfoliant, I buy it by the bulk load as it leaves your skin super soft and glowing! Outside of college and work I enjoy having a good catch up with friends over coffee and time to just relax.
After attending Farlingaye High School and completing my A levels, I was offered a scholarship to Doreen Birds School of Dance. Dancing was a great passion, that is a big part of my life. However after consideration I decided for a career to follow a different field, after trying an array of different things but knowing I wanted to work with people and make people feel good. I enrolled at Suffolk New College in Beauty Therapy and haven't looked back since.
During my second year at college I was lucky enough to get a job as a beauty therapist in a highly regarded, established salon where I learnt a lot about the industry and the therapist I wanted to be. In 2011 I was offered the position of manager at a local salon and was proud to see it grow and evolve, during this time I really established where I wanted to go in the industry and on the 10th of December 2012 opened the doors of The Beauty Room to the public.
I love to enjoy the odd massage now and then and couldn't live without my Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Serum!
Outside the salon I love doing yoga, reading, dancing and I'm desperately trying to learn how to cook.
I'm blessed to work with such fabulous girls, we have so much fun and it results in a warm, friendly but always professional environment. Which I am sure you will enjoy, we look forward to seeing you soon.
